Last week for eat what you want day the children were given a selection of foods to choose their own lunch. So preparing lunch that day was such a big job but between us we managed to plate up all the foods the children asked for.

I was surprised at some of the choices the children made especially the tomatoes. we took them off the menu because noone ate them so now we will add them back

Today we have enjoyed a range of activities for the different aged children, from 8 months to 4 years, in preparation for the weekend. We have made crowns, made sand castles, enjoyed some red and blue play, and had a baby tissue paper sensory play.

We had a very sandy week, and had lots of fun along the way.

Tuesday: we added lego, made shapes and small castles

Wednesday: numbers 1 to 5, we counted, recognised numbers

Thursday: firefighters day so we took this opportunity to make our own fire scenes. With the children following on my stories to make their own.

Friday: all about the Royal family, we made castles of different sizes, filled pots and emptied them and squashed down any made towers
