A ribbon tube is an excellent toy for babies to support their physical development and teach cause and effect.
Here is a simple way to make a ribbon tube…
Materials needed
- Screw Driver or scissors
- Ribbon
- A Tube or small box
Step 1
Use the screw driver to add holes on both sides of the tube or box.
You can get children to decorate the tube or box first to make it look more appealing.
Step 2
Thread the ribbon through the holes so they come out of the other side.
Children may need some support this this process, I found using the screw driver to thread the ribbon worked well.
Step 3
Tie a knot on the end of each side of the ribbon.
I found the screw driver hole was to big for this so adding the split rings worked well to stop the ribbon falling out. This also helps give children something to hold onto.
You can even make your own pictures or key-rings to add to this to make it more appealing.
